In 2020, the "butterfly effect" caused by the COVID-19 virus affected various industries in China to some extent, with manufacturing being one of the most impacted sectors. As a member of the manufacturing industry, Fusheng also felt this impact. Therefore, while actively exploring ways out of the situation, Fusheng shares its cost-saving experiences in hopes of inspiring others.
Currently, the environmental damage caused by wastewater and waste liquids generated during industrial production processes and the reduction of wastewater treatment costs to enable water resource recycling have become important environmental issues in the industry. Fusheng has utilized its own refrigerant compressor products and professional condensing applications to successfully develop a high-efficiency low-energy consumption HD industrial waste liquid reduction system. The treatment methods for industrial wastewater vary due to the complex composition of different wastewaters, and existing technologies cannot effectively overcome this challenge. Taking the treatment of industrial metal cutting fluids as an example, these fluids are high in chemical oxygen demand (COD). Current methods such as coagulation and sedimentation to remove COD result in sludge waste. Even using chemical coagulation methods generates a large amount of sludge waste with limited treatment effectiveness. Most wastewater is particularly difficult to biodegrade; incineration leads to carbon emissions and energy consumption. Facing strict environmental regulations, only by reducing waste volume and properly recycling can we minimize the impact on nature and reduce processing costs while balancing environmental and economic considerations.
The HD industrial waste liquid reduction system features low carbon emissions, energy saving, environmental friendliness, and economic efficiency. It can be used to reduce cutting fluid waste and is also applicable in fields such as textile dyeing wastewater treatment, electroplating wastewater treatment, saline wastewater treatment, power plant wastewater treatment, chemical plant wastewater treatment, refining wastewater treatment, coking wastewater treatment, and traditional Chinese medicine concentration processing. This significantly enhances environmental treatment capabilities and makes a noticeable contribution to improving green processes.
Fusheng follows ISO14001 and ISO50001 management systems. The R&D team applies new condensing technology from its own refrigerant compressor applications to develop improvement solutions for reducing metal cutting fluids. The developed HD industrial waste liquid reduction system occupies a small footprint and uses a high-efficiency scroll compressor to achieve a low-energy consumption condensing operation mode that reduces operational costs. With an environmentally friendly R134a heat pump heating design, the system automatically stabilizes water discharge quality and recycles it back into the front-end system for repeated use with the goal of achieving zero emissions—making it one of the best solutions for implementing green processes. Based on Fusheng's experience, the Sanchong plant needs to dispose of about 300 tons of machining cutting fluid annually (waste/water ratio approximately 1:20). After processing with the HD industrial waste liquid reduction system, 285 tons of water can be recovered while the remaining 15 tons require outsourcing for disposal. Currently, the cost of outsourcing machining waste liquid disposal is 4 RMB/kg—amounting to 60,000 RMB for 15 tons. Adding electricity consumption costs for system operation at 80,000 RMB and material losses at 40,000 RMB brings the total waste liquid disposal cost at the Sanchong plant down to 180,000 RMB. Compared to not treating it at all and outsourcing all 300 tons of waste liquid for disposal by environmental companies at an annual cost of 1.2 million RMB—the HD industrial waste liquid treatment system helps companies save nearly 1.02 million RMB in disposal costs.
Fusheng provides customized industrial waste liquid treatment solutions tailored to different customer situations. In these special circumstances, Fusheng hopes to offer companies more energy-saving ideas to minimize the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and overcome challenges together while laying a foundation for winning the "battle for blue skies."
